BLUSHIELD FOR CHICKENS

A farmer in Minnesota (USA) reported a hen house being affected by the Blushield device placed in the barn being used for cattle. It turns out the adjacent hen house was producing twice as many eggs as normal.

So a trial was conducted to test and prove the hypothesis. This was carried out at a poultry farm in Te Puna, situated on the outskirts of Tauranga, New Zealand.

The farm had two completely automated hen houses. House 1 was selected as the test house and House 2 as the control house. Each house had approximately 10,000–15,000 laying hens at any one time.

Five hens from each sector were taken and blood tests carried out on them, noting such things as parasites, blood cell count and platelet shape and size. Also, the general health of the chicken was noted as to feather loss, weight, skin rashes and any other features that were relevant.

The weight of the eggs laid each day was averaged out with samples taken from each sector. The same applied to quantity, shell thickness and yolk quality. Blood tests were carried out at one month and three- month intervals.

After One Month

Before installation, the mortality rate in both houses had been approximately 60–100 per month, and in the weeks immediately after installation the death rate in House 1 dropped to zero and rose to four and six respectively in the following two weeks. Egg production before installation was between 74–78 per cent of the total flock in House 1, and after one month the average rose to between 82–84 per cent. The yolk size had improved, and the yolk colour had changed to a deeper yellow.

After using Blushield, the mortality rate went from 60–100 deaths per month to less than 20 deaths per month.

After Four Months

Health of the chickens appeared to be at a constant level; parasites appeared to have been eradicated from the blood; cell count remainedeven, and platelet size and shape remained regular. Deaths dropped to between eight and 15 chickens per month in House 1.

Egg production rose to between 84–87 per cent of the total flock in House 1. A slight average increase in yolk size was noted, and the shell became stronger and less brittle.

After One Year

Even though there were several changes in the flock during the year regarding culling and new pullets being introduced, the blood samples taken showed no signs of parasites returning. The health of the hens remained at a good level with no skin diseases evident.

The noise levels were constantly lower at all times compared to the control house, and there was less pecking between hens. There was also a drop in the amount of food eaten by the chickens, yet the output in eggs and quality increased. The appetite in the control house, however, remained the same.

The mortality rate was the most significant factor of these tests. Before Blushield, there were 60–100 deaths per month. After Blushield, at no stage did this go over 25 per month and averaged out at about 16–18. The hens also appeared to have lost a lot of their aggressive nature and cannibalistic habits.

Egg production rose as high as 89 per cent at times but ended up averaging between 84–87 per cent which equates to a good 10 per cent increase in production for the farmer. The quality of the eggs remained at a high level throughout, with a consistent improvement in colour of the yolk and better viscosity in the egg whites. The average egg weight went from 63 grams to 66 grams. The shell did not improve greatly in thickness; however, crack testing gave an indication that the shells were stronger.

Longer-Term Effects

One of the longer-term effects the Blushield helps with is the term of the hens’ laying life, which was extended out by as much as 20 weeks per hen.

It is clear that Blushield has a significant effect on egg-laying chickens.

CLINICAL STUDY ON BLUSHIELD EFFICACY

Almost three years ago (back in September of 2020), Blushield was contacted by Tom Blue, the owner of a research company and Executive Director of the American Academy of Private Physicians. Tom is connected with a large network of doctors. He had recently discovered Blushield EMF protection devices, and noticed significant positive results from using the devices on himself, his wife and their son.

Tom proposed studying the health effects of the devices on humans, on a larger scale than had been done previously. Tom and his partners, Helen Messier, PhD and DeAunne Denmark, PhD, had great ideas about the structure and focus of the study, a variety of health markers to track, and how to recruit participants within their network of doctors. They had connections with independent labs that could perform the study for Blushield.

Currently Blushield cannot publish the actual manuscript of the study because it is under review by a prominent medical journal. Blushield will post a link to the full study manuscript on their website once the journal has reviewed it.

Analysing and Interpreting the Results

Although not able to share the full manuscript yet, it is complete, and Blushield is allowed to share their interpretation of the results.

The study paper was written
by Christopher D’Adamo, PhD, an epidemiologist who has served as principal investigator on a wide variety of observational and interventional studies of nutrition and other healthy lifestyle modalities, and his findings have been published in several well- known peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals, and publicised through several popular media outlets.

The study paper stated: “Preliminary data from in vitro and agricultural animal studies suggest changes in biomarkers of health and functional status may be detectable after a period of continuous Blushield device usage.” using a newer, more powerful Blushield device, and the company says it is excited that the study has been completed.

So, what improvements were found in this independent review board-certified pilot study?

• Cognitive Function Improvements

The CNS Vital Signs test is a full neurocognitive assessment that each participant did once before introducing the Blushield device, then again every four weeks of the 12-week study, for a total of four times. The test records performance in areas of cognitive function, including memory, executive function and processing speed. Statistically significant positive results were found in the areas of composite memory, cognitive flexibility, executive function, and processing speed. There were several areas where no changes were noted (visual memory and simple and complex attention), but the areas of positive change are quite notable.

Electromagnetic field exposure has been definitively linked to impairments in cognitive function, and the mechanism of harm theorised as overactivation of the voltage-gated calcium channels.

• Voltage-Gated Calcium Channel Improvements

Could the positive results on cognitive function be linked to the voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs)? The study paper states this is a valid hypothesis that warrants further exploration. The reason it is believed there may be a link is because in the genome-wide DNA methylation assessment, they were able to identify a key VGCC gene (CACNA1G) that was hypermethylated, indicating a likely under-expression of that gene— basically, a quieting of the voltage-gated calcium channels that are chronically overactive and overstimulated in the constant

This refers to prior Blushield studies from several years ago, the grassroots-style testing which initially found impressive positive results on animals and humans, including live blood cell
analysis, human urine analysis, as well as health improvements
in chickens and cows.

Blushield knew it was time for a more thorough study on a greater number of human health markers, presence of modern levels of EMFs. Hypermethylation is most often associated with a downregulation of the expression of a gene, placing it into a “locked” state, whereas hypomethylation usually refers to active expression and transcription of a gene.

• Meaningful Improvements in Sleep Quality and Heart Rate Variability

Our study participants saw impressive improvements in their heart rate variability, average and lowest resting heart rate, body temperature, and deep sleep, all reaching statistical significance. Average deep sleep time increased by nine minutes, from 90 minutes before to 99 minutes after. There was also an increased average awake time (by five minutes), which in some instances wouldn’t be desirable, but it’s a logical assumption that if you’re getting nine extra minutes of deep sleep (the most restorative type of sleep) per night, then you may not need quite as much sleep overall.

EMF exposure has been shown to be linked to elevated blood glucose, and in some cases, even prediabetes and diabetes.

• Reduction in Blood Glucose

EMF exposure has been shown to be linked to elevated blood glucose, and in some cases, even prediabetes and diabetes.

All of the participants had glucose levels within a healthy range at the beginning of the study, and we still found a statistically significant reduction in blood glucose during the study. The results may have been even more dramatic if diabetics and prediabetics had been included in the study, and is a topic of particular interest for a potential future study.

Glucose and insulin are also strongly affected by the ATP- sensitive potassium channels, so it is possible that the positive effects on blood glucose may be linked to the hypermethylated ATP-sensitive potassium channel complex that the study recorded, as well as the VGCCs.

• Changes in Immune Markers and Self-Reported Health Improvements

The study also found an increase in monocytes and a decrease in natural killer cells (NK cells), both within a healthy range. Monocytes remain in their basic form in the bloodstream and organs when there are no active threats, but as soon as a threat is perceived, they differentiate into either macrophages or dendritic cells. However, NK cells remain in their original form while fighting infection. When monocytes differentiate into dendritic cells, this then alerts other cells (including NK cells) of the presence of an imminent threat.

An increase in circulating monocytes could indicate that they are now “ready and waiting” in their natural form, and not currently in the process of fighting infection by differentiating into other forms. A decrease in natural killer cells could signify the immune system calming down from a previous chronically overactive state, as the monocytes are not actively signalling a threat that would tell the NK cells to get to work. More targeted and larger scale studies will be needed to confirm this hypothesis.

Also, each participant was given a self-reported health questionnaire at various times throughout the study period, and there was a statistically significant improvement in the participants’ subjective experience of overall health and well-being.

Final Thoughts

This study was a long time in the making, involving extraordinary levels of hard work and patience. Almost daily, Blushield hears reports directly from customers (and the reviews they post voluntarily on the Blushield website) that these devices have affected their lives in positive ways, and some even call them life changing.

Honest reports from customers are helpful for informing potential customers of what others have experienced, to clarify their decision to invest in EMF protection devices.

Now, with the first independent review board-certified clinical study results, customers can be even more fully informed of the potential benefits this technology may have on their lives.

Although it was a fairly small-scale pilot study, in some ways this study is actually groundbreaking, as Blushield believes they are likely to be the first EMF protectioncompany to test the effects of their devices on the voltage-gated calcium channel genes, and find notable improvements. This is something they will certainly be testing more extensively in future, larger scale studies.

The study paper concludes that Blushield devices appear to be feasible, safe, and associated with improvements in cognitive function, sleep, heart rate variability, voltage- gated ion channel gene normalisation, blood glucose, immune response, and overall self- reported health among relatively healthy adults. It also emphasises that the devices “appear to be a reasonable component of a comprehensive EMF mitigation strategy to minimise RF exposure”, which is always how Blushield encourages people to use their devices.

Blushield for Bees

As the cell phone towers started to spread across the landscape, many beekeepers noted a steady decline in the population of their hives. It wasn’t that something was killing the bees, it was that the bees were not finding their way home.

A few years ago a local beekeeper reported that all his beehives within the effective zone of his Blushield device reversed their population decline, and began producing more honey and more queens than usual.

A similar effect was achieved by placing a piece of shungite next to the hive entrance.
